David Watson is the Global Head of Product Development for Deutsche Bank’s Global Transaction Banking (GTB) business. In this function, he is responsible for the development of transaction banking products across Cash Management, Trade Finance and Securities Services.

The aim is to maximise the re-use of platforms and create cross product synergies in the areas of Digitalization, Disruptive Technology, Liquidity, Client Access, Client Care, Pricing & Billing, Exposure Management, Risk Management, Trade Processing, Securities Processing as well as Payments & Core Banking.

He also oversees GTB’s investment process and the delivery of its strategic platform transformation, which includes transformational initiatives in the areas of Client Experience, Data, Liquidity and Collateral, Exposure Risk and Limits, Payments, Trade Finance and Lending, Billing and Securities Services. In addition, he has responsibility for GTB’s Market Advocacy function.

Upon joining GTB’s Product Management team in 2008, David was responsible for defining and driving the Transaction Bank’s product strategy. He led GTB’s Client Access products from 2010-2013 which included global and local online channels, client integration services and SWIFT based access, covering both corporate clients and financial institutions. Prior to this, he worked in the Bank’s Group Technology and Operations area in a variety of strategy and delivery roles.
